Installing on Apache Geronimo

Get the necessary components

Install the components

  • Install the base required components
  • Install Tempo Components( after build, see the Building page if needed)
    • Axis web services
      • TAS: Task Attachment Service (responsible for attachments of files to tasks)
      • TMS: Task Management Service (responsible for task related data)
      • TokenService: Responsible for security token exchange used throughout tempo
    • Web Applications
      • FDS: Form Dispatcher, responsible for handling the start of a task lifecycle, whether from a process or from a PIPA.
      • UI-FW: Simple webapp, that list the processes and the tasks/notifications associated to a user
      • XFM: xform-manager, based on Orbeon, handles the xform rendering.
      • WDS: Workflow deployment Service, handles storage of tasks descriptions and forms content

Start/configure tempo

When starting geronimo, you should use the following java option:

-Dorg.intalio.tempo.configDirectory=$TEMPO/config/

Install an example

Deploy the AbsenceRequest to test your installation.
